CUSTOMER PROJECT · SCHOOL SPIRIT
Three artwork references, four design proposals, and two finished LED neon signs for a girls’ basketball locker room.
1. The brief and original artwork
The customer wanted a bold display for an indoor wall approximately three feet wide, with remote controls for convenient operation. We proposed a 30-inch width and reviewed three school-approved references: a full-color mascot, a red line-art mascot, and interlocking school initials.

2. Four design proposals
We prepared four mockups to compare lighting layouts, production methods, and background treatments. At this size, fine mascot details required a different approach from the main outlines.

These are visual mockups, separate from the detailed production drawings. The two mascot concepts received a preliminary production review.
3. The final selection
The customer selected Option 2, the all-red Ridgerunner, and Option 3A, the black-background initials. Both signs were specified at 30 inches wide for indoor use with remote controls. Final production drawings were to be provided for approval before manufacture.
4. Finished signs
The all-red Ridgerunner
Within the 30-inch width, LED neon tubing alone could not reproduce every fine detail. We combined LED neon tubing for the main outlines with engraving for finer feather and foot details, preserving more of the artwork within the available space. Engraved lines catch surrounding light but do not illuminate independently.

Red-and-white initials with black infill
Red and white LED neon outlines frame the black interior areas, defining the lettering with the lights on or off.

All finished-sign photographs were taken in the workshop.
